Noonday's relationship to Farallon®:
Noonday's operations as a team with a distinct identity date to January 2004, when the Farallon® offices in London, Singapore and Charlotte commenced operation as a separate but related group within Farallon®.
Noonday Global Management, Ltd. was formally launched on 1 January, 2005. The launch of Noonday formalized a gradual but deliberate move by Farallon® and Noonday towards decentralized asset management on a global basis. As two units, our goal was to simplify management of our activities and invest more effectively and with greater agility around the world. The reason for the name change was to avoid the confusion which could arise from any overlap in the investment focus of the two units.
On 1 June 2007, Noonday Asset Management Asia (HK) Limited was formally launched.
Farallon® continues to manage certain settlement, clearing, accounting and other back office functions for Noonday from its San Francisco office and the Farallon® team based in San Francisco continues its own independent asset management activities on a global basis.
